Our Human Rights Work

Over its 50-year history, MCC Toronto has been a place of action and an inspiring, progressive voice for the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Since 1995, we have been home to The Triangle Program. Since 2007, MCC Toronto’s LGBTQ+ Refugee Programs have helped over 8,000 LGBTQ+ refugees and brought 75 LGBTQ+ refugees to Canada.

In 2022, MCC Toronto announced that thanks to our transformational ELEVATION Campaign, we would now be able to expand the breadth and impact of our human rights work. We have established the Paul Austin Human Rights Centre as a new community hub space for collaboration, wellness and advocacy.

We have hired dedicated staff to deliver programs, build partnerships and to engage communities beyond our walls in projects and initiatives that advance our commitment to human rights for all!

We invite our members, congregants and the broader community to learn more, get involved and stay connected. Sign up for our human rights newsletter.
