Events at Toronto's Historical & History-Making Queer Church

Host Your Next Gathering at MCC Toronto

115 Simpson Avenue is an architectural gem and heritage building originally constructed in 1889. It became home to MCC Toronto in 1973 and has since played an important role in Toronto’s ongoing 2SLGBTQIA+ liberation movements. The world’s first legal same-sex marriages were officiated here in 2001.

Our spaces are available for weddings and life events, concerts and rehearsals, panels and retreats, meetings and workshops, community gatherings and support groups, and more.

MCC Toronto offers beautiful, fully accessible, and recently renovated rental spaces, including our Sanctuary, Social Hall, chef’s kitchen, and meeting rooms.

MCC Toronto uniquely combine the historical significance of queer liberation movements, the character and charm of a traditional church, and contemporary upgrades with modern amenities.

The result is a warm, welcoming, and versatile venue, rooted in history and possibility.

Hosting your event at MCC Toronto directly supports vital community programming, including our 2SLGBTQIA+ Refugee Services, The Triangle Program (Canada’s only 2SLGBTQIA+ high school), community outreach initiatives, and other queer and trans-affirming programs.
