MCC Toronto featured on PBS’ Brave Spaces

In October MCC Toronto was invited to participate in an episode of PBS’ Brave Spaces which would focus on Queer Muslims and a Queer Church. The episode was filmed here at MCC Toronto and features folks from the Queer Muslim Network along with Rev. Deana Dudley and members of The Choir of MCC Toronto.

This week that episode was released – and it is beautiful.

I could not be more proud to be part of this amazing organization. To me, this episode captures everything that I have come to love about MCC Toronto – a space that is welcoming, a community that is accepting, and a place where love and healing go hand in hand. Kudos to Rev. Deana for so beautifully conveying what MCC Toronto is all about.

Sidenote: following the filming of this episode, the Queer Muslim Network found a place for their once-a-month queer Mosque – right here at MCC Toronto!
