A community outreach ministry of MCC Toronto, the Trans* Resource, Education and Advocacy Team is here for Trans* people who want to reconnect to their spirituality and have lost faith in Mainstream Religious Organizations.
MCCT has a long history of being a welcoming place for the entire LGBTQ community to gather for worship or community pursuits.
T.R.E.A.T. is the Trans* Resource, Education, and Advocacy Team. An outreach Ministry of MCC Toronto. We are a group of Trans People and Allies working to promote an understanding of Trans* issues within the Church and the community at large.
Meeting the second and fourth Sunday every month at 12:30p.m. in the church Social Hall, we discuss matters of spirituality, problems faced by Trans People, and we work to educate the community as a whole.
Our current programs include: The Trans Day Of Remembrance (TDOR), The Purple Ribbon Campaign for Trans* Awareness, Trans Pride, and Gender 101 (an educational workshop).
We recently hosted a very successful Thanksgiving Day dinner and are planning further community outreach.
Our membership currently includes: Deacon Jonathan Mackereth, Dawna Tracey Armstrong, Dolly Smith, Nicole Borthwick and Diana Howe.
All are welcome to join us at our meetings and events and we encourage the congregation to come learn and grow with us.
