Mary Kelly is always happy to sing at MCC
Recently she appeared in The Handmaid’s
Tale, returned as a Jazzagal in Schitt’s Creek, played Lady Bracknell
in The Importance of Being Earnest, Mrs. Higgins in My Fair
Lady, and sang at the final Christmas Eve Service presided by Rev. Brent
Hawkes at Roy Thomson Hall. On TV, she has had roles in Orphan Black;
Saving Hope and Reign.
Mary made her New York theatrical debut and
originated the role of Mother in Living With Henry, as part of the New
York Musical Theatre Festival. She created roles in When All
the Slaves Are Free (based on music of Joni Mitchell); Sincerely, a
Friend (based on the music of Leonard Cohen); and Sophie in Sophie
Tucker, the Last of the Red Hot Lovers.
