How You Can Help
Since the inception of our LGBTQ+ Refugee Programs in 2007, MCC Toronto has relied on the support of our communities to make our program a success. Without you, there would be no us.
We are currently looking for persons who may be interested in being part of our LGBTQ+ Afghan Refugees Response Program either by joining a settlement team, volunteering their time to support the sponsored refugee and or making a financial contribution to our Program.
If you are looking to sponsor a refugee, you may do so by becoming a member of a group of 5 and be supported by MCC Toronto. Please let us know if you have an interest in supporting a refugee by committing to provide:
- start-up costs, like furniture and clothing
- ongoing monthly costs for necessities like housing, food, and public transportation
- social and emotional support
A MINIMUM OF $18,250.00 IS NEEDED TO SUPPORT A SINGLE REFUGEE. The sponsored refugee is not permitted to make contribution toward settlement fund. Your help is needed to raise the required fund.
