Sunday December 02- Mary McCandless

Mary McCandless’s career as a professional singer and character actress has taken her to musical theatre stages, concert halls and churches around the world.

She first sang at MCC Toronto in 1982 when services were held on Bathurst Street. in Toronto and continued creating memorable cabarets and concerts, as the church grew into what it is today. The highlight of her experiences was being a featured vocalist for 13 years at the  MCCT Christmas Eve service at Roy Thomson Hall. She was also the featured guest at the 2017 choir Christmas concert.

While her résumé reflects many Tony Award-winning productions, her first love remains the intimate setting of cabarets and concerts.

“I am constantly reminded that my life is made richer by the people I meet and the people I love.  Music speaks to me of love and life and is a recognition and celebration of who I really am.”
