October 7 – Peter McCutcheon

Peter McCutcheon was operatically trained from his late teens by Ben Heppner and Mark DuBois. Peter’s voice bears the influence of both internationally acclaimed tenors.

Peter was cast by Stuart Ross as Jinx, in the original Toronto production of Forever Plaid, and went on to perform the role in 976 performances. Toronto theatre credits also include: Raoul (u/s) in The Phantom of the Opera; John Reid Jr. in the world première production of Jane Eyre; and Nanki-Poo in The Mikado.

Peter can be heard on the original cast recording of Jane Eyre (Mirvish Productions, 1997); his debut solo CD recording Grace (2003), featuring inspirational hymns of faith and hope; Land of My Heart (2005), a CD featuring the music of Scotland; and Longing (2009).
