We are excited to announce that MCC Toronto’s Onsite Worship Services at 115 Simpson Avenue will resume with a soft launch on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at 10:30 a.m.
With the success of our Online Worship Services during COVID-19, we will also continue live-streaming our Service at 11 a.m. Both Onsite Worship Services and Online Worship Services will have the same “Lesson for Life” and musical performances.
Sunday, September 13 will mark our Annual Homecoming Celebration, with Onsite Worship at 10:30 a.m. and Online Service at 11 a.m., as we say “Welcome home! Bienvenue! Bienvenido!”.
Why the time difference? Well, following Worship, onsite attendees can head home and join online attendees for our online Sunday Noon Coffee Hour on ZOOM, this time coordination will still give us the opportunity to join together.
With the City of Toronto now in Phase 3 of the reopening process, faith communities can gather at 30% occupancy, which for us at MCC Toronto is a maximum of 150 people. We have developed special protocols based on the advice provided by public health authorities, amended our Order of Service to reflect those protocols, and will introduce a new pre-registration and screening process for Onsite Worship Services going forward. We will be posting our new protocols and guidelines on our website soon, and in will also be in next week’s edition of The Query.
We will continue to provide high-quality Online Worship Services for those who are not yet comfortable to return onsite, are at risk with severe illness due to COVID-19 or may have been exposed to the virus. At this time, only our 10:30 a.m. Celebration Services will be resuming onsite, with more information on the 9 a.m. Meditation and 7 p.m. Inspiration Services to follow.
Please know that we are making every effort to help ensure your return to MCC Toronto as safe and inclusive as possible.
