MCC Toronto Board Update – February 2022

As part of our continuing commitment to be transparent and timely in communicating with our members and congregants we want to highlight some of our recent activities. Your Board meets bi-monthly and works to provide you with the key items arising from our meetings. In addition, you can find a variety of Board documents and congregational communications at

The Board of Directors for MCC Toronto met via zoom on February 23, 2022. Everyone was in attendance and keen to discuss the matters at hand. The Board members were very supportive in reinstating the Executive Director position and pleased that this position will be posted in early March.

Rev. Jeff gave us the good news that Rev. June’s surgery went well and that she will be home March 3 and needing to spend the next couple of months recuperating. We wish her well.

This coming Fall, Rev. Jeff reminded the Board that he will have been at MCC Toronto now for 5 years which qualifies him to take a 3-month Sabbatical. The objective is to give the Pastor a well-deserved time to explore and focus on their spiritual journey, time to further their spiritual education and to have some time to relax, enjoy and reenergize.

The Financial Committee informed the Board that considering the Church has been closed for most of 2021 the Church is on budget thanks to the generosity of one-time donors, regular givers, and the commitment for all the staff to work within their budget. The Board thanks each and everyone of you.

The Board is continuing to review and when necessary, rewrite MCC Toronto’s policies. Our goal is to review, discuss and approve one policy each meeting.

Remember your Board represents and is responsible to you, the congregation. If you have questions, thoughts and/or concerns you can contact us via a confidential email at

All the best to each and everyone of you.
