On Easter Sunday, 40 members of the Metropolitan Community Church Of Toronto and 6 dogs got up very early and went to Ashbridges Bay on Lake Ontario in the Beach district of Toronto for their annual Easter Sunday Sunrise Service. It was a special time of sharing and communion. It was a special time for us all experiencing the beauty of nature, the lapping of the water, the beauty of the sunrise, the crying of the gulls and the quiet quacking of the ducks floating peacefully on the water. It was a special spiritual time for us all singing hymns, listening to the inspiring insights on the true meaning of this resurrection day by the Rev. Deana Dudley and being awed by the powerful symbolism of the sun rising over the waters of Lake Ontario. I have been attending this celebration for many years and it never ceases to touch my heart anew every year. Happy Easter. Love, Donald Peter.
